Dallas 2-1 Kansas: Wizards unable to avoid defeat at Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas secured a 2-1 win against Sporting Kansas City at Toyota Stadium on Monday. Following this match, Dallas are now in 3rd place on the table and have 53 points while Kansas sit in 12th with 40 points after 48 matches.

Dallas started the match strongly, when Lletget found the net on the 33 minute mark to see them go in at half time 1-0 up.

Kansas staged a comeback in the second half, with a goal from Zusi, 51 minutes in. Dallas in turn, then responded in the 65th minute, grabbing the lead with an effort from Arriola, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for Dallas included Nanu, Quignon, Velasco, Tafari and Jara for Farfan, Cerrillo, Obrián, Hedges and Arriola, respectively. Kansas replaced Hernandez and Pierre with Espinoza and Zusi.

There were bookings for Cerrillo and Twumasi from Dallas, and Hernandez and Isimat-Mirin, for Kansas.
