Philadelphia 0-2 Seattle: Sounders come up big against Eastern leaders

Seattle Sounders snatched all three points from Toronto FC in a 2-0 victory on Sunday, at BMO Field. As the table looks today, Phili are currently 12th with 18 points from 24 matches, while Seattle sit in 5th, with 26 points from 24.

Seattle started the match well, when Teves found the net at the 39 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0.

The Sounders continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Montero, 60 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Phili included Kerr, Marshall-Ruty and Priso-Mbongue for Akinola, Petrasso and Nelson, repectively. Seattle replaced Rowe, Dobbelaere, Atencio and Baker-Whiting with Medranda, Teves, Leo Chú and Montero.

There were bookings for Salcedo from Phili, and Leo Chú, Tolo and Lodeiro, for Seattle.
