Kansas 4-1 Minnesota: The Loons ship four at Children’s Mercy Park

Minnesota United on away loss to Kansas at Children’s Mercy Park on Sunday. Kansas are now in 12th place on the table and have 37 points while Minnesota sit in 6th with 45 points after 45 matches.

Kansas started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Boxall opened the rout on the 31 minute mark. Wizards looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Thommy, at 41 minutes to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Agada made it 3-0 just before half-time, ending the first half 3-0.

Minnesota took the lead in the second half, when García found the net in the 57th minute. In the end though, Kansas then grabbed a second effort from Agada, 81 minutes in. When the final whistle blew, the result was 4-1 to Kansas.

Substitutions for Kansas included Voloder, Hernandez, Tzionis, Shelton and Ford for Isimat-Mirin, Espinoza, Russell, Salloi and Thommy, respectively. Minnesota brought on Niko Hansen, González and Benítez, to replace Fragapane, Kallman and Lawrence.

There were bookings for Shelton from Kansas, and Rosales, for Minnesota.
