Seattle 2-2 San Jose: The Sounders held despite Lodeiro brace

Seattle could only manage a 2-2 draw against San Jose in the last match of the MLS season. Following the final whistle at the end of the last match of the MLS season for both sides, Seattle are now in 11th place on the table and have 41 points while San Jose sit in 14th with 35 points after 48 matches.

Seattle started the match strongly, with an early goal from Lodeiro in the 1st minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Ebobisse equalised for San Jose 4 minutes into the game, which brought Álex Covelo’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break

The Sounders fought back, with an early 2nd effort from Lodeiro in the 49th minute. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Cowell equalised for Quakes in the 75th minute. The match ended wih a 2-2 draw.

Substitutions for Seattle included Leyva, Ragen, Bruin, Leo Chú and Teves for Morris, Arreaga, Montero, Rusnák and Roldan, respectively. San Jose brought on Cowell, Marie, Judson, Jack Skahan and Tanner Beason, to replace Benjamin Kikanovic, Trauco, Yueill, Thompson and Rodrigues.

There were bookings for Rusnák from Seattle. For San Jose, Rodrigues saw yellow.
