San Jose 0-1 Inter Miami: Herons squeeze out a narrow win at struggling Earthquakes

San Jose were defeated at home by Inter Miami at Avaya Stadium on Thursday. After today’s result, San Jose and Inter currently occupy 13th and 9th spots in the league, with 23 points and 29 points respectively after 33 matches.

Inter started the first half well, with a goal from Mota, 12 minutes in, to take a 1-0 lead into half time. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

Substitutions for San Jose included Bersano, Niko Tsakiris, Salinas and Cowell for Jt Marcinkowski, Judson, Agren and Benjamin Kikanovic, repectively. Inter brought on Lassiter, Rodríguez, Bryce Duke, Ulloa, Sailor and Jones for Campana, Higuaín, Lassiter, Mota, Gibbs and Taylor.

The referee booked Yedlin for Inter.

Next up, San Jose are away to Austin, whilst Inter will travel to face Montréal.
