Red Bulls 3-1 Inter Miami: Herons no match for the Metro

On Sunday, Inter Miami suffer an away defeat to Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. Following today’s result, Red Bulls are currently 4th with 44 points from 38 matches, while Inter sit in 7th, with 36 points from 38.

Inter dominated the first half, thanks to a goal from Higuaín in the 19th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Morgan equalised for Metro just before halftime, ending the first half 1-1.

Red Bulls staged a comeback in the second half, with a goal from Daniel Edelman in the 53rd minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Clark at the 74 minute mark to make it 3-1.

Substitutions for Red Bulls included Dylan Nealis, Clark, Fernandez and Barlow for Long, Yearwood, Klimala and Morgan, repectively. Inter replaced Higuaín, Gibbs, Lassiter, Vassilev and Mota for Rodríguez, Sailor, Jean, Taylor and Bryce Duke.

Red Bulls and Inter played a tough game where the referee sanctioned Red Bulls with yellow cards to Duncan, Long and John Tolkin and with red card to Duncan (2 yellow cards), while from Inter Mota were booked and red to Pozuelo.

Next up, Red Bulls are away to Montréal, whilst Inter will travel to face Columbus Crew.
