Real Salt Lake 3-0 Sporting Kansas : Real sink the Wizards in easy victory at the Rio Tinto

Real Salt Lake ease to victory over Sporting Kansas City 3-0 on Monday at Rio Tinto Stadium. Following today’s result, RSL are in 3rd place, with 33 points from 29 matches, while Kansas sit in 14th, with 20 points from 29.
After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on RSL who started the second half well, with an early goal from Córdova in the 50th minute. Claret and Cobalt looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ruiz in the 65th minute to establish a 2-0. RSL then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Savarino in the 71st minute to make it 3-0.
Substitutions for RSL included Nick Besler, Julio, Holt and Luna for Löffelsend, Córdova, Glad, Savarino and Meram, repectively. Kansas brought on Hernandez, Shelton and Duke for Rosell, Tzionis and Russell.
The referee booked Glad, Córdova and Julio from RSL. Kansas had the worst of it though, with Espinoza and Isimat-Mirin seeing yellow, and Espinoza then sent off with a red.
Kansas and RSL will next play at home to Los Angeles FC and FC Dallas respectively.
