RSL were defeated at home by Cincinnati at Rio Tinto Stadium on Sunday. RSL are now in 8th place, with 43 points from 45 matches, while Cin sit in 5th, with 45 points from 45.

It was an impressive opening from RSL, thanks to a goal from Chang, 35 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Brenner equalised for Orange and Blue just before half-time to see out the first half 1-1.

Cin continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Brenner found the net once more in the 76th minute, to hand a welcome victory to the visitors.

Substitutions for RSL included Ojeda, Meram, Julio, Caldwell and Danny Musovski for Löffelsend, Chang, Luna, Ruiz and Córdova, respectively. Cin brought on Kubo, Ray Gaddis, Santos, Matarrita and Badji for Moreno, Powell, Vázquez, Barreal and Brenner.

There were bookings for Savarino from RSL. For Cin, Hagglund saw yellow.

RSL will next play LA Galaxy away, with Cin facing Chicago Fire at home.
