Portland 1-1 Nashville: Timbers fail to find a winner at Providence Park

On Thursday, Portland and Nashville were held to a 1-1 draw at Providence Park. Following today’s result, Portland are in 7th place in the table and have 32 points while Nashville sit in 6th with 33 points after 33 matches.

Nashville started the match well, when Bunbury found the net in the 20th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Moreno equalised for The Timbers, at 27 minutes. The first half ended 1-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-1.

Substitutions for Portland included Nathan and Mcgraw for Blanco and Chará, repectively. Nashville brought on Sapong, Miller and Haakenson, to replace Mukhtar, Moore and Leal.

There were bookings for Mcgraw from Portland. For Nashville, Zimmerman, Mukhtar and Bunbury saw yellow.

Nashville and Portland will next play at home to Toronto FC and FC Dallas respectively.
