Portland 1-1 Dallas: The Timbers denied by Dallas in the final minute at Providence Park

On Sunday, Portland and Dallas were held to a 1-1 draw at Providence Park. After today’s result, Portland and Dallas sit 6th, (33 points) and 3rd, (36 points), spots respectively, after 34 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The Timbers fought back the second half, thanks to a goal from Loria at the 90 minute mark. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Chará equalised for Dallas just before the final whistle. The final result, Portland 1, Dallas 1.

Substitutions for Portland included Loria, Mcgraw, Williamson, Blanco and Nathan for Bravo, Mabiala, David Ayala, Niezgoda and Chará, repectively. Dallas brought on Ntsabeleng, Tafari, Nanu, Jara and Obrián, to replace Servania, Martínez, Farfan, Lletget and Velasco.

There were bookings for Asprilla and Williamson from Portland. For Dallas, Twumasi and Hedges saw yellow.

Portland will play away against Toronto FC, while Dallas will face San Jose at home.
