Orlando 4-0 Toronto: The Lions crush Toronto

Orlando City beat Toronto FC with a 4-0 victory on Sunday at Exploria Stadium. Orlando are currently 5th with 45 points from 44 matches, while Phili sit in 13th, with 34 points from 44.

It was an impressive opening from Orlando, when Torres opened the rout in the 9th minute. The momentum was again with The Lions, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Kara on the 22 minute mark to establish a 2-0 result. However they weren’t finished yet and Macnaughton made it 3-0 just before half-time, ending the first half 3-0.

Orlando continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Akindele found the net on the 84 minute mark, leaving the final score at 4-0.

Substitutions for Orlando included Michel, Perea, Smith, Akindele and Gioacchini for Kara, Pereyra, Ruan, Torres and Cartagena, respectively. Phili brought on Kerr, Jesús Jiménez, Osorio, Petrasso and Marshall-Ruty, to replace Thompson, Akinola, Kaye, Criscito and Laryea.

There were bookings for Moutinho from Orlando, and Criscito, Macnaughton and Bernardeschi, for Phili.
