Orlando 1-3 Dallas: Strong second-half performance gives Dallas the win

Orlando were defeated at home by FC Dallas at Exploria Stadium on Sunday. Orlando wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Austin in their previous game. Dallas lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Minnesota United. After today’s result, Orlando and Dallas currently occupy 5th and 2nd spots in the table, with 21 points and 25 points respectively after 19 matches.

Dallas continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Arriola, 67 minutes in. The momentum was now with Dallas, who then scored again through a goal from Jara in the 70th minute to establish a 2-1. Dallas then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a 2nd effort from Arriola at the 84 minute mark with a final score of 3-1.

For Orlando, Torres, Pato, Akindele, Joey Dezart and Halliday, came on for Mulraney, Mendez, Júnior Urso, Ruan and Perea. Dallas brought on Jara, Ntsabeleng, Tafari, Obrián and Cerrillo, to replace Pomykal, Martínez, Servania, Velasco and Jesús Ferreira.

There were bookings for Mendez from Orlando. For Dallas, Jesús Ferreira, Velasco, Quignon and Obrián saw yellow.
