Orlando 2-1 Columbus: The Crew fail to hold onto lead at Exploria Stadium

Columbus Crew fell to an away defeat at the hands of Orlando City at Exploria Stadium on Sunday. Orlando are currently 7th with 48 points from 47 matches, while Columbus sit in 8th, with 46 points from 47.

Columbus started strongly in the first half, when Etienne found the net, 38 minutes in, which saw the first half end 1-0.

Orlando continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Júnior Urso found the net in the 56th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Torres made it 2-1 on the 84 minute mark to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Orlando included Michel, Perea, Akindele and Cartagena for Kara, Torres, Pereyra and Angulo, respectively. Columbus brought on Molino, Farsi, Morris and Hurtado for Etienne, Moreira, Artur and Mensah.

There were bookings for Araujo, Smith, Michel, Júnior Urso, Angulo and Cartagena from Orlando, and Pedro Santos, Nagbe and Degenek, for Columbus.
