Orlando 0-1 Atlanta: Almada nets the winner for United

Atlanta United strolled past Orlando City with a 1-0 win on Thursday at Exploria Stadium. Orlando and Atlanta currently occupy 6th and 8th spots in the table, with 42 points and 39 points respectively after 44 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Atlanta continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Almada, 72 minutes in. The match ended 1-0 to Atlanta.

Substitutions for Orlando included Ruan, Michel, Perea, Mulraney and Akindele for Smith, Kara, Cartagena, Júnior Urso and Angulo, respectively. Atlanta brought on Josef Martinez, Rossetto, Mosquera, Caleb Wiley and Cisneros, to replace Dwyer, Amar Sejdic, Lennon, Almada and Luiz Araujo.

There were bookings for Cartagena from Orlando, and Dwyer, Luiz Araujo and Mosquera, for Atlanta.
