NYC 1-1 Colorado Rapids: Leaders fight back for a point at home against the Rapids

NYC were held to 1-1 draw by COLO down on Monday at Yankee Stadium. After today’s result, NYC are in 1st place, with 27 points from 22 matches, while COLO sit in 9th, with 19 points from 22.

After a goalless first half, COLO fought back the second half, when Barrios gave COLO the lead in the 68th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Talles Magno equalised for The Pigeons at the 72 minute mark. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

NYC brought on Parks, Andrade and Chanot for Acevedo, Rodríguez and Martins. COLO brought on Jonathan Lewis, Beitashour and Mezquida, to replace Price, Abubakar and Barrios.

There were bookings for Castellanos and Morales from NYC, and Price, Abubakar, Acosta and Wilson, for COLO.

Next up, NYC are away to Philadelphia Union, whilst COLO will travel to face Portland Timbers.
