NYC 1-1 Cincinnati: Honours even at the Yankee Stadium

On Thursday, NYC and Cin played out a 1-1 draw at Yankee Stadium. NYC are now in 4th place, with 46 points from 42 matches, while Cin sit in 7th, with 39 points from 42.

Orange and Blue started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Martins gave them the lead on the 22 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Gabriel Pereira equalised for NYC just before half-time, concluding the first half 1-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for NYC included Heber, Andrade and Andres Jasson for Rodríguez, Amundsen and Gabriel Pereira, respectively. Cin brought on Brenner, Moreno, Santos and Matarrita, to replace Badji, John Nelson, Vázquez and Kubo.

The referee booked Gabriel Pereira, Acevedo and Chanot from NYC and Martins went off with a red card, while Cin’s Nwobodo also received a yellow.
