New England 3-0 NYC: Revs power past the The Pigeons

New England Revolution strolled past New York with a 3-0 win on Monday at Gillette Stadium. Revs are now in 7th place, with 38 points from 41 matches, while NYC sit in 4th, with 45 points from 41.

Revs didn’t take long to start the rout, when Jon Bell opened the rout, 12 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Buck, at 33 minutes and the first half ended 2-0.

Revs once more applied the pressure in the second half and were rewarded, when Mcnamara found the net, 65 minutes in, which sealed the victory for Revs.

Substitutions for Revs included Boateng, Makoun, González, Spaulding and Rennicks for Buck, Maciel, Jon Bell, Mcnamara and Bou, respectively. NYC brought on Pellegrini, Talles Magno, Zelalem, Gabriel Pereira and Owusu, to replace Andrade, Moralez, Haak, Rodríguez and Acevedo.

The referee booked Buck for Revs.

Revs will next travel to Red Bulls, while NYC will face Cincinnati at home.
