Montreal 2-2 Inter Miami: Stalemate as The Herons take away a point

MON were held to 2-2 draw by Inter down on Sunday at Stade Saputo. As it stands, MON are in 3rd place in the table and have 40 points while Inter sit in 10th with 30 points after 34 matches.

MON started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Quioto in the 5th minute. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Higuaín producing an equaliser 6 minutes into the game, bringing Inter level. However, MON, 21 minutes in found the back of the net following another Quioto goal, which saw the first half end 2-1.

The Herons took the lead in the second half, when Rodríguez found the net at the 79 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-2.

Substitutions for MON included Torres, Kamara, Miljevic and Choiniere for Toye, Quioto, Wanyama and Waterman, repectively. Inter brought on Vassilev, Jones, Lassiter, Rodríguez and Ulloa for Mota, Taylor, Higuaín, Pozuelo and Mabika.

The referee booked Waterman for MON.

MON will next travel to Houston Dynamo, while Inter will face New York at home.
