Galaxy 3 – Seattle 3: Honours even and points shared at StubHub Center

Galaxy were held to 3-3 draw by Seattle down on Saturday at StubHub Center. As it stands, Galaxy and Seattle currently occupy 6th and 8th spots in the league, with 34 points and 33 points respectively after 36 matches.

Galaxy started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Chicharito at the 10 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Víctor Vázquez made it 2-0 just before halftime, to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

The Sounders started the second half with an intensified spirit, with a goal from Rowe at the 53 minute mark. Seattle looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ruidíaz, at 61 minutes to establish a 2-2. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Joveljic equalised for Galaxy just before the final whistle and saw the match end 3-3.

Substitutions for Galaxy included Riqui Puig, Costa, Zavaleta and Joveljic for Víctor Vázquez, Cabral, Chicharito and Grandsir, repectively. Seattle replaced Medranda, Ragen, Atencio and Bruin with Rowe, Ruidíaz, Lodeiro and Morris.

There were bookings for Grandsir and Víctor Vázquez from Galaxy. For Seattle, Lodeiro, Gómez and Medranda saw yellow.
