Inter Miami 2-1 Toronto: The Herons continue momentum with home win

On Sunday, Toronto FC suffer an away defeat to Inter Miami at Inter Miami CF Stadium. As the table looks today, Inter are in 5th place, with 36 points from 37 matches, while Toronto sit in 12th, with 30 points from 37.
It was an impressive opening from Inter, when Mota gave The Herons the lead in the 24th minute. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Insigne in the 28th minute brought Toronto level. Inter in turn, then responded just before halftime increasing their lead with an effort from Lassiter. The score at half time was 2-1. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-1.
Both coaches used all substitutions. Substitutions for Inter included Vassilev, Bryce Duke, Rodríguez and Ulloa for Lassiter, Mota, Taylor and Pozuelo, repectively, Toronto brought on Kerr and Achara, to replace Nelson and Akinola.
