Inter 3-2 NYC: Visitors leave Inter Miami CF Stadium empty handed

Inter Miami strolled past New York with a 3-2 win on Sunday at Inter Miami CF Stadium. As it stands, Inter are currently 9th with 33 points from 35 matches, while NYC sit in 2nd, with 42 points from 35.

The Pigeons started the first half well, when Talles Magno gave NYC the lead at the 34 minute mark. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Pozuelo producing an equaliser at the 39 minute mark, bringing Inter level. NYC in turn, then responded just before halftime increasing their lead with an effort from Andrade, concluding the first half 2-1.

The Herons continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Lassiter at the 64 minute mark. Inter then scored again and turned the match thanks to a 2nd effort from Pozuelo in the 84th minute to make it 3-2.

Substitutions for Inter included Vassilev, Lassiter, Sailor, Ulloa and Jones for Taylor, Gibbs, Bryce Duke, Higuaín and Pozuelo, repectively. NYC replaced Heber, Tinnerholm and Haak with Gabriel Pereira, Acevedo and Andrade.

There were bookings for Gregore, Taylor and Pozuelo from Inter, and Morales, Amundsen, Chanot and Rodríguez, for NYC.
