Inter Miami 2-1 Minnesota: Vassilev gives The Herons a late win over The Loons

Minnesota United fell to an away defeat at the hands of Inter Miami at Inter Miami CF Stadium on Sunday. As the table looks today, Inter are in 8th place in the table and have 21 points while Minnesota sit in 11th with 18 points after 23 matches.

After an uneventful first half, The Loons took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Amarilla at the 65 minute mark. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Vassilev, 87 minutes in, brought The Herons level. Inter then netted again and turned the match thanks to a second effort from Vassilev just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-1.

Substitutions for Inter included Rodríguez, Higuaín and Vassilev for Ulloa, Taylor and Lassiter, repectively. Minnesota replaced Kallman, Hayes, Hlongwane and Danladi with Amarilla, Rosales, Fragapane and Taylor.

There were bookings for Yedlin, Lowe and Gregore from Inter, and Taylor, Fragapane, Hayes and Kallman, for Minnesota.
