Dallas 0-1 NYC: Lone Heber strike nets the Pigeons a narrow road success
New York’s 1-0 win over FC Dallas on Thursday, was hard fought at Toyota Stadium. Following today’s result, Dallas are in 5th place, with 28 points from 28 matches, while NYC sit in 2nd, with 35 points from 28.
NYC started the first half well, when Heber found the net, 29 minutes in, saw out the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.
Substitutions for Dallas included Pomykal, Arriola, Twumasi, Hedges and Beni Redzic for Ntsabeleng, Velasco, Eddie Munjoma, Nanu and Obrián, repectively. NYC brought on Amundsen, Andres Jasson, Gabriel Pereira and Zelalem, to replace Andrade, Acevedo, Heber and Rodríguez.
There were bookings for Ntsabeleng and Jara from Dallas, and Chanot and Johnson, for NYC.
Dallas will play at home against Austin, while NYC will face Red Bulls away.
