An equalizer from Etienne on the 89 minute mark brought Columbus level. The Crew then netted again and turned the match thanks to a 2nd effort from Etienne just before the final whistle to give a final score of 2-1.

Substitutions for Columbus included Zelarayán, Russell-Rowe, Etienne and Farsi for Artur, Hurtado, Molino and Díaz, respectively. Red Bulls brought on Duncan, Elias Manoel and Barlow, to replace Hassan Ndam, Klimala and Elias Manoel.

There were bookings for Artur and Williams from Columbus, and Daniel Edelman and Dylan Nealis, for Red Bulls.
