Columbus Crew 1-1 Charlotte: The Crew pegged back by Charlotte in tight fixture

On Sunday, Columbus and Charlotte were held to a 1-1 draw at MAPFRE Stadium. After today’s result, Columbus are currently 10th with 17 points from 21 matches, while Charlotte sit in 6th, with 20 points from 21.

The Crew started the first half well, with a goal from Hurtado just before halftime

Charlotte started the second half with an intensified spirit, with an early goal from Shinyashiki in the 50th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Columbus included Molino, Díaz, Russell and Farsi for Miguel Berry, Anibaba, Hurtado and Morris, repectively. Charlotte brought on Sergio Ruiz, Alcivar, Sobocinski and Lindsey, to replace Ortiz, Bender, Gaines and Afful.

There were bookings for Hurtado from Columbus. For Charlotte, Afful saw yellow.
