Colorado 2-1 San Jose: Rapids do enough to claim three points

San Jose on away loss to COLO at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Thursday. COLO are now in 10th place on the table and have 39 points while San Jose sit in 14th with 30 points after 44 matches.

COLO dominated the first half, when Rubio found the net in the 21st minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Nathan Pelae equalised for Quakes in the 37th minute, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

COLO continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Rosenberry, at 77 minutes, leaving the final score at 2-1.

Substitutions for COLO included Price, Nicholson, Max and Warner for Acosta, Barrios, Gutierrez and Rubio, respectively. San Jose brought on Gregus, Judson and Benjamin Kikanovic, to replace Yueill, Remedi and Marie.

There were bookings for Warner from COLO, and Remedi and Judson, for San Jose.

COLO will next travel to LA Galaxy, while San Jose will face Minnesota United at home.
