Colorado 1-1 Houston: Dynamo dig out a late equaliser to take a point against Rapids

COLO were held to 1-1 draw by Houston down on Sunday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. As the table looks today, COLO are in 11th place, with 32 points from 37 matches, while Houston sit in 13th, with 26 points from 37.

After a goalless first half, COLO certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, with an early goal from Abubakar in the 48th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Sebastián Ferreira equalised for Houston just before the final whistle and saw the match end 1-1.

Substitutions for COLO included Beitashour, Moor, Max and Nicholson for Rosenberry, Jonathan Lewis, Gutierrez and Barrios, repectively. Houston brought on Picault, Quintero, Cerén, Junqua and Zeca, to replace Carrasquilla, Memo Rodríguez, Vera, Dorsey and Lundqvist.

The referee booked Acosta, Gutierrez and Barrios from COLO and Acosta (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while Houston’s Dorsey and Herrera also received a yellow.

Next up, COLO are away to Philadelphia Union, whilst Houston will travel to face Minnesota United.
