Cincinnati 1-1 Red Bulls: Points shared as New York are held at Nippert Stadium

On Sunday, Cincinnati and Red Bulls were held to a 1-1 draw at Nippert Stadium. Following today’s result, Cin are in 6th place, with 26 points from 26 matches, while Red Bulls sit in 2nd, with 33 points from 26.

It was an impressive opening from Cin, when Vázquez found the net at the 21 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Morgan equalised for Red Bulls in the 29th minute. The score at half time was 1-1. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-1.

Substitutions for Cin included John Nelson, Kubo, Ordonez and Murphy for Ray Gaddis, Vázquez, Brenner and Cameron, repectively. Red Bulls brought on Barlow, Reyes and Clark for Klimala, Edwards and Harper.

The referee booked Blackett, Cruz and Kubo from Cin and Cruz (2 yellow cards) and Acosta went off with a red card, while Red Bulls’ John Tolkin and Edwards also received a yellow.
