Cincinatti 3-1 Philadelphia Union: Orange and Blue see visitors off at Nippert Stadium

Cincinnati snatched all three points from Philadelphia Union in a 3-1 victory on Sunday, at Nippert Stadium. As the table looks today, Cin and Union currently occupy 6th and 1st spots in the league, with 32 points and 45 points respectively after 33 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Cin who started the second half well, with an early goal from Vázquez in the 50th minute. The momentum was now with Orange and Blue, who then scored again through a goal from Brenner at the 55 minute mark to establish a 2-0. Cin looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Barreal, at 71 minutes to establish a 3-0. In the end though, Union pull-back, 77 minutes in, with a goal from Aaronson and saw the match end 3-1.

Substitutions for Cin included Blackett, Ray Gaddis, Kubo, John Nelson and Medunjanin for Murphy, Powell, Moreno, Barreal and Acosta, repectively. Union brought on Jack Mcglynn, Burke and Aaronson, to replace Leon Flach, Carranza and Uhre.

The referee booked Cameron, Acosta and Hagglund for Cin.
