Chicago 1-0 Seattle: Fire do enough to edge the Sounders

Chicago Fire snatched all three points from Seattle Sounders in a narrow 1-0 victory on Sunday, at SeatGeek Stadium. Following today’s result, Chicago are in 11th place in the table and have 23 points while Seattle sit in 8th with 26 points after 28 matches.

Chicago started the match well, with a goal from Czichos in the 23rd minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Chicago included Pineda, Herbers, Torres and Offor for Giménez, Gutierrez, Mueller and Przybyłko, repectively. Seattle replaced Leo Chú, Roldan, Montero, Ragen and Teves with Bruin, Rowe, Leyva, Arreaga and Tolo.

The referee booked one player from Seattle, Rowe.
