Chicago 3-1 Inter: The Fire rampant as Durán brace lifts them past Inter

Inter Miami on away loss to Chicago at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday. Chicago and Inter currently occupy 11th and 10th spots in the table, with 35 points and 36 points respectively after 42 matches.

Chicago started the first half well, with a goal from Durán just before half-time

Chicago continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Shaqiri found the net in the 64th minute. However, Inter refused to lie down and managed to pull back a goal from Higuaín in the 76th minute. Chicago in turn, then responded just before the full time increasing their lead with a second effort from Durán, leaving the final score at 3-1.

Substitutions for Chicago included Andre Reynolds Ii, Bornstein, Espinoza and Bezerra for Gutierrez, Pineda, Mueller and Durán, respectively. Inter brought on Bryce Duke, Jones and Lassiter, to replace Vassilev, Gibbs and Mota.

There were bookings for Czichos and Navarro from Chicago, and Mcvey, for Inter.

Chicago will next travel to Montréal, while Inter will face Columbus Crew at home.
