Charlotte 1-0 NYC: One goal is all it takes for The Minted at home

New York on away loss to Charlotte on Saturday. Charlotte are now in 10th place, with 35 points from 42 matches, while NYC sit in 4th, with 46 points from 42.

Charlotte started the match strongly, with an early goal from Ríos in the 5th minute. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Charlotte included Byrne, Shinyashiki, Gaines and Sobocinski for Kerwin Vargas, Ríos, Swiderski and Jóźwiak, respectively. NYC brought on Heber, Rodríguez, Moralez, Parks and Pellegrini, to replace Zelalem, Talles Magno, Andres Jasson, Haak and Amundsen.

The referee booked Gaines, Bronico and Shinyashiki from Charlotte and Fuchs went off with a red card, while NYC’s Andres Jasson, Rodríguez and Callens also received a yellow.
