Charlotte 4-1 Nashville: Late goals lift The Minted to success against Nashville

Nashville SC on away loss to Charlotte on Sunday. At the moment, Charlotte are in 5th place, with 26 points from 26 matches, while Nashville sit in 6th, with 27 points from 26.

The Minted started strongly in the first half, when Fuchs opened the rout, 25 minutes in, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Charlotte continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Swiderski, at 61 minutes. However, Nashville weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Mukhtar, 67 minutes in. However, Charlotte increased their lead following a Sergio Ruiz goal in the 89th minute to make it 3-1. Charlotte then scored once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Shinyashiki just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-1.

Substitutions for Charlotte included Makoun, Shinyashiki, Mora, Lindsey and Bender for Corujo, Jóźwiak, Reyna, Mcneill and Afful, repectively. Nashville brought on Bunbury, Miller, Haakenson, Aké Loba and Washington, to replace Tah Anunga, Maher, Leal, Sapong and Muyl.

The referee booked three players from Nashville, Tah Anunga, Leal and Washington.
