Charlotte 3-0 D.C.:The Minted cruise past United

D.C. United on away loss to Charlotte on Thursday. As the table looks today, Charlotte and D.C. currently occupy 7th and 14th spots in the league, with 29 points and 21 points respectively after 32 matches.

The Minted didn’t take long to start the rout, when Birnbaum opened the rout, 13 minutes in. They then managed to see out the first half 1-0.

Charlotte continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Swiderski found the net in the 64th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Mcneill made it 3-0 in the 67th minute to make it 3-0.

Substitutions for Charlotte included Shinyashiki, Jones, Alcivar and Ríos for Reyna, Mcneill, Bender and Swiderski, repectively. D.C. brought on Rodríguez, Najar, Alfaro, Djeffal and Miguel Berry, to replace Fountas, Odoi-Atsem, Hines-Ike, Canouse and Morrison.

The referee booked Canouse for D.C.

Charlotte next face Chicago Fire and D.C. are at home to Red Bulls.
