Atlanta 2-0 Inter Miami: The Herons slip to a road defeat at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Atlanta United beat Inter Miami with a thumping 2-0 victory on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Following today’s result, Atlanta and Inter currently occupy 8th and 10th spots in the league, with 19 points and 18 points respectively after 22 matches.

Atlanta started strongly in the first half, with an early goal from Luiz Araujo in the 4th minute, saw out the first half 1-0.

Atlanta continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Josef Martinez in the 61st minute. The final result, Atlanta 2, Inter 0.

Substitutions for Atlanta included Dwyer, Amar Sejdic, Rossetto and Ambrose for Cisneros, Franco Ibarra, Luiz Araujo and Caleb Wiley, repectively. Inter brought on Ulloa, Rodríguez and Gibbs, to replace Vassilev, Taylor and Bryce Duke.
