Wycombe Wanderers strolled past Plymouth Argyle with a 2-0 win on Friday at Adams Park. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Wycombe were looking for a victory following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Gillingham FC in their previous game. Plymouth Argyle are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As the table looks today, Wycombe and Plymouth Argyle currently occupy 5th and 4th spots in the league, with 76 points and 78 points respectively after 43 matches.

Wycombe dominated the first half, thanks to Garath McCleary finding the net in the 14th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a 2nd effort from Garath McCleary, 31 minutes in to see out the first half 2-0. The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Wycombe brought on David Wheeler, Jack Grimmer and Jordan Obita for Daryl Horgan, Dominic Gape and Garath McCleary. Plymouth Argyle brought on Ryan Broom, Niall Ennis and Adam Randell, to replace Danny Mayor, Jordan Garrick and Jordan Houghton.

The referee booked Josh Scowen and David Stockdale for Wycombe.
