West Brom 1 – Stoke 3: No home advantage for The Baggies as The Potters win

West Brom on Saturday lost to Stoke City on a home defeat at The Hawthorns. West Brom were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 1-0 to Birmingham City. Stoke were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Sheffield United and Millwall. As the table looks today, West Brom are in 11th place on the table and has 57 points while Stoke sit in 15th with 55 points after 41 matches.

The Potters started well, with Jake Livermore finding the net, 16 minutes in to see out the first half 0-1.

Stoke continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jacob Brown at the 59 minute mark. However, West Brom weren’t lying down and managed to pull back a goal from Callum Robinson, 73 minutes in. In the end though, Stoke just before the final whistle increased their lead via a Lewis Baker goal, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

For West Brom, Karlan Grant, Callum Robinson and Adam Reach, came on for Grady Diangana, Alex Mowatt and Conor Townsend. Stoke brought on Josh Maja and Ben Wilmot, to replace Steven Fletcher and Mario Vrancic.

Stoke and West Brom will next play at home to Bristol City and Blackpool respectively.
