SWFC 1 – Crewe Alexandra 0: Visitors unable to get win at Hillsborough Stadium

Sheffield Wednesday snatched all three points from Crewe Alexandra in a narrow 1-0 victory on Tuesday, at Hillsborough Stadium. Both SWFC and Crewe Alexandra arrived at the challenge after previous wins. SWFC were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Crewe Alexandra were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-1 win against AFC Wimbledon in their last match. After today’s result, SWFC are in 4th place on the table and has 79 points while Crewe Alexandra sit in 24th with 28 points after 44 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, The Owls were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, with Lee Gregory giving SWFC the lead in the 54th minute. The game ended with a 1-0 win for SWFC.
