Sheffiled Wednesday 1-1 Bristol Rovers: Rovers dig out a point at Hillsborough

On Wednesday, SWFC and Bristol Rovers played out a 1-1 draw at Hillsborough Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. SWFC arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 1-1 draw against Lincoln City. Bristol Rovers had secured a point against Plymouth Argyle in their previous match. SWFC and Bristol Rovers currently occupy 3rd and 14th spots in the table, with 31 points and 20 points respectively after 16 matches.

The Owls started the match strongly, when Michael Smith found the net just before half-time

Bristol Rovers took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Josh Coburn, at 63 minutes, leaving the final score at 1-1.

SWFC will next play Burton Albion at home, with Bristol Rovers facing Derby County away.
