QPR 1 – Peterborough United 3: Visitors ecstatic after win at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium

Peterborough United beat Queens Park Rangers with a thumping 3-1 victory on Sunday at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. QPR were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 3-1 to Nottingham Forest. Peterborough United, on the other hand, lost 3-2 in the last match they played against Swansea City. As the table looks today, QPR are in 8th place on the table and has 59 points while Peterborough United sit in 23rd with 26 points after 39 matches.
Rangers started the game well, thanks to Luke Amos giving QPR the lead in the 9th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Jonson Clarke-Harris equalised for Peterborough United, 39 minutes in. The first half ended 1-1.
Peterborough United fought back, with Jonson Clarke-Harris finding the net again at the 53 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Jack Marriott made it 3-1 in the 54th minute with a final score of 3-1.
For QPR, Charlie Austin, George Thomas and Jeff Hendrick, came on for Luke Amos, Andre Gray and Andre Dozzell. Peterborough United replaced Bali Mumba, Jack Taylor, Jack Marriott and Jonson Clarke-Harris for Harrison Burrows, Jeando Fuchs, Kwame Poku and Joe Taylor.
There were bookings for Sam Field from QPR. For Peterborough United, Bali Mumba, Jack Marriott and Ollie Norburn saw yellow.
Peterborough United and QPR will next play at home to Middlesbrough and Fulham respectively.
