North End 2 – Bournemouth 1: Home fans rewarded with victory at Deepdale

Preston North End strolled past Bournemouth with a 2-1 win on Saturday at Deepdale. North End arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Coventry City. Bournemouth were coming from consecutive wins against Stoke City and Blackpool. As the table looks today, North End and Bournemouth are 12th, (50 points) and 3rd, (61 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.
Following a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Cherries who started the second half well, with an early goal from Jamal Lowe in the 50th minute. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Cameron Archer managed to equalize and take the sides off in the 55th minute at 1-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Emil Riis just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-1.
Both managers used all available substitutions. For North End, Ali McCann, Emil Riis and Josh Murphy, came on for Josh Earl, Brad Potts and Ched Evans, Bournemouth brought on Ryan Christie, Ethan Laird and Ben Pearson to replace Jaidon Anthony, Adam Smith and Todd Cantwell.
There were bookings for Brad Potts, Sepp Van den Berg and Daniel Johnson from North End. For Bournemouth, Philip Billing saw yellow.
North End will next travel to Cardiff City, while Bournemouth will face Derby County at home.
