Port Vale on home loss to Portsmouth FC at Vale Park on Saturday. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Port Vale were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 2-0 victory against Burton Albion while Portsmouth FC were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Bristol Rovers and Cambridge Utd.
