Port Vale 2-2 Cheltenham: Victory beyond reach for The Valiants at Vale Park

Port Vale were helde ach other to a 2-2 draw by Cheltenham Town on Saturday at Vale Park. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Port Vale were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Portsmouth FC, while Cheltenham Town had lost their previous match against Oxford United. Port Vale and Cheltenham Town sit 17th, (8 points) and 21st, (5 points), spots respectively, after 7 matches.

Cheltenham Town started the match strongly, when Daniel N`Lundulu gave them the lead in the 24th minute. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Ademipo Odubeko producing an equaliser in the 37th minute, bringing Port Vale level. However they weren’t finished yet and Taylor Perry made it 2-1 just before half-time to see out the first half 2-1.

Cheltenham Town took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Charlie Brown just before the full time, leaving the final score at 2-2 draw.

Substitutions for Port Vale included Dan Jones, James Wilson, Gavin Massey and Harry Charsley for Malvind Benning, Ademipo Odubeko, David Worrall and Tom Pett, respectively. Cheltenham Town replaced William Ferry, Ryan Broom, Christian Norton, Dylan Barkers and Charlie Brown with Ben Williams, James Olayinka, George Lloyd, Taylor Perry and Daniel Adshead.

Port Vale will play their next fixture away against Wycombe Wanderers, while Cheltenham Town will face Bolton Wanderers at home.
