Oxford United strolled past Cambridge Utd with a 1-0 win on Saturday at Kassam Stadium. Oxford United were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last match 1-0 to Derby County. Cambridge were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Milton Keynes Dons in their last match. As things stand, both teams are on 3 points and occupy 13th and 14th places respectively after 2 matches.

After a goalless first half, Oxford United applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Tyler Goodhram found the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for Oxford United included James Henry, Lewis Bate, Tyler Goodhram and Jodi Jones for Billy Bodin, Josh Murphy, Marcus McGuane and Matty Taylor, repectively. Cambridge brought on Joe Ironside, Liam O’Neil and Saikou Janneh, to replace Shilow Tracey, Harvey Knibbs and James Brophy.

There were bookings for Stuart Findlay and Marcus Browne from Oxford United. For Cambridge, Harrison Dunk saw yellow.

Oxford United will next travel to Bristol Rovers, while Cambridge will face Exeter City at home.
