Forest 5 – Swansea 1: Red dogs secure all 3 points at the City Ground

Swansea City on away loss to Forest at the City Ground on Saturday. Forest were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Peterborough United away (1-0), the other to West Bromwich Albion at home (4-0). Swansea, on the other hand, had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Middlesbrough. Red dogs started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Sam Surridge in the 48th minute. The momentum was now with Forest, who then scored again through a effort from Sam Surridge at the 53 minute mark to establish a 3-1. Red dogs looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a hat trick effort from Sam Surridge at the 69 minute mark to establish a 4-1. However they weren’t finished yet and Alexander Mighten made it 5-1, 84 minutes in with a final score of 5-1.
Both managers made full use of their substitutions. For Forest, Joe Lolley, Alexander Mighten and Richie Laryea, came on for Philip Zinckernagel, Sam Surridge and Jack Colback, Swansea brought on Olivier Ntcham, Jamie Paterson and Jay Fulton, to replace Ryan Manning, Cameron Congreve and Joel Piroe.
