Forest 3 – QPR 1: Red dogs triumph over Rangers at the City Ground

Nottingham Forest snatched all three points from Queens Park Rangers in a 3-1 victory on Wednesday, at the City Ground. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Forest were looking to continue their run after winning last match whilst QPR were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Luton Town in their last match. As it stands, Forest are in 8th place, with 58 points from 38 matches, while QPR sit in 6th, with 59 points from 38.
QPR started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Andre Gray finding the net just before half-time, finalising the first half 0-1.
Forest started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with Djed Spence finding the net in the 55th minute. Red dogs looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ryan Yates after 83 minutes to establish a 2-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Brennan Johnson just before the final whistle to make it 3-1.
As for substitutions, for Forest, Joe Lolley, Sam Surridge and Cafu, came on for Scott McKenna, Keinan Davis and Philip Zinckernagel, QPR brought on Ilias Chair, Stefan Johansen and Jeff Hendrick, to replace Chris Willock, Andre Dozzell and Luke Amos.
There were bookings for Ryan Yates and Keinan Davis from Forest. For QPR, Andre Dozzell, Jimmy Dunne, Sam Field, Lee Wallace and Moses Odubajo saw yellow.
Forest will next travel to Fulham, while QPR will face Peterborough United at home.
