Morecambe FC 1-1 Portsmouth: Pompey fight back for a point at the Globe Arena

Morecambe FC were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Portsmouth FC on Saturday at Globe Arena. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Morecambe FC arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers in their previous game. Portsmouth FC had secured a point against Shrewsbury Town in their previous match. Morecambe FC are now in 22nd place on the table and have 14 points while Portsmouth FC sit in 5th with 28 points after 18 matches.

Morecambe FC started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Liam Shaw in the 36th minute, concluding the first half 1-0.

Portsmouth FC took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Colby Bishop in the 67th minute, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Morecambe FC included Dylan Edward Connolly, Arthur Gnahoua, Cole Stockton and Max Melbourne for Caleb Watts, Adam Major, Kieran Phillips and Donald Love, respectively.
