Morecambe FC 1 – Portsmouth FC 1: Honours even and points shared at Globe Arena

On Monday, Morecambe FC and Portsmouth FC were held to a 1-1 draw at Globe Arena. Both teams arrived on the back of wins. Morecambe FC were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Portsmouth FC were coming from consecutive wins against Lincoln City and Rotherham United. After today’s result, Morecambe FC and Portsmouth FC currently occupy 19th and 9th spots in the league, with 42 points and 67 points respectively after 44 matches.
Portsmouth FC started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Sean Raggett giving Portsmouth FC the lead just before half-time, seeing out the first half 0-1.
Morecambe FC took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Jonah Ayunga just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.
Both managers used the full entitlement. For Morecambe FC, Jonah Ayunga, Toumani Diagouraga and Alfie John McCalmont, came on for Aaron Wildig, Dylan Edward Connolly and Ousmane Fane, Portsmouth FC brought on Louis Thompson, Aiden O’Brien and Mahlon Romeo, to replace Shaun Williams, Michael Jacobs and Marcus Harness.
