Morecambe FC 1-1 Derby: Struggling Shrimpers fail to sink the Rams

Morecambe FC were held each other to a 1-1 draw by Derby on Tuesday at Globe Arena. Morecambe FC were aiming to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers. Derby were coming from a 4-2 win against Bristol Rovers. Morecambe FC are now in 22nd place on the table and have 13 points while Derby sit in 7th with 25 points after 8 matches.

Morecambe FC dominated the first half, when Jensen Weir gave them the lead just before half-time

Derby took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Louie Sibley on the 59 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Morecambe FC included Dylan Edward Connolly, Cole Stockton and Ousmane Fane for Caleb Watts, Kieran Phillips and Adam Major, respectively. Derby replaced William Osula and Liam Francis Thompson with David McGoldrick and Nathaniel Mendez Laing.

There were bookings for Caleb Watts and Connor Ripley from Morecambe FC. For Derby, David McGoldrick and Eiran Joe Cashin saw yellow.

Morecambe FC will play their next fixture at home against Portsmouth FC, while Derby will face Milton Keynes Dons away.
