MK Dons 1-4 Plymouth 4: Home side humiliated by travelling Pilgrims

Plymouth Argyle enjoyed an away victory against Milton Keynes Dons at Stadium Mk on Saturday. Milton Keynes Dons were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-1 to Shrewsbury Town. Plymouth Argyle were coming from consecutive wins against Accrington Stanley and Sheffield Wednesday. Milton Keynes Dons are now in 22nd place on the table and have 10 points while Plymouth Argyle sit in 1st with 34 points after 14 matches.

Plymouth Argyle found the net first, when Morgan Whittaker opened the rout, at 9 minutes. The momentum was again with Plymouth Argyle, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Niall Ennis on the 25 minute mark to establish a 2-0 result. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Finn Azaz in the 37th minute. The first half ended 3-0.

Milton Keynes Dons started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Will Grigg in the 49th minute. In the end though, Plymouth Argyle then grabbed a second effort from Finn Azaz in the 59th minute, leaving the final score at 4-1.

Substitutions for Milton Keynes Dons included Ethan Robson, Conor Grant, Matthew Dennis and Matt Smith for Josh McEachran, Louie Barry, Nathan Holland and Will Grigg, respectively. Plymouth Argyle brought on Ryan Hardie, Conor Grant, William Jenkins-Davies, Sam Cosgrove and Finley Craske, to replace Niall Ennis, Bali Mumba, Morgan Whittaker, Finn Azaz and Adam Randell.

The referee booked Ethan Robson and Jamie Cumming for Milton Keynes Dons.

Milton Keynes Dons will play at home against Wycombe Wanderers, while Plymouth Argyle will face Bristol Rovers away.
